I'll live and I'll die,
Like the morning sun,
In the eclipse of the moon.
I'll think as I die,
Of the things I have won,
And many I have won too soon.

From the time I was born,
The heat that I felt,
All but consumed my mind.
A rage to live,
Was under my belt,
The stamp of all my kind.

In the time of my youth,
I was bright as a fire,
Tossing life to and fro.
I had women,
I had fun,
Of none did I tire,
And then It had to go.

She came as a cloud,
Covering the earth,
Of glittering there was none.
This woman-child,
Surrendered with mirth,
And captured the Heartless One.

Together we roamed,
O'er hill and dale,
Our love rang hard and true.
To those who saw us,
Our life was filled,
With smiles,
And......I love you.

For one's whose love,
Spoke so mightily,
Our quarrels came all too soon.
And as she went,
On her way.
I felt my mind's doom.

It seemed that God,
Had said to me,
'For visions strong and true,
A govern on your life must be,
Take her,
This girl's for you'.

We joined our souls,
In God's refrain
And cast our lives anew.
Oh, but for this mind of Cain,
My devils would say,
Adieu.

Our loves are fused together,
Our are hearts are welded true.
And yet our minds
The union sever,
Words like,
....I love you.
